The store itself is nice, but the checkout situation was frustrating. Even before 9 p.m., there was only one staffed checkout lane open besides the self-checkout. Self-checkout works fine for a few items, but it’s not ideal when you have a full cart, especially with larger items. If that doesn’t bother you, it might not be an issue, but it definitely impacted my experience.
Whoever decided to switch up the isle made a big mistake. Very poor leadership! The isle make no sense. You have pasta sauce with Gatorade. The pasta is in a separate isle. Three rows of chips depending on how they are packaged. Vitamins with toothpaste. I could go on and on. Not to mention this should have all been done at night! The workers redoing the shelves do not move out of the way for the shoppers. I have never seen such chaos in all my life.
Horrible Shop Rite. The entrance way is filthy and the store itself looks and feels dirty. It needs a total refurbishment, especially with the clean and well run Wegmans and Whole Foods just a few miles away. Not as busy as it was before Wegmans opened. Produce always looks old and sometimes inedible (especially bananas and asparagus). I don't buy meat or chicken here since I got food poisoning on their chopped meat that forced me to the doctor. Also the staff is not as helpful as Wegmans or Whole Foods, especially not helpful in Produce or checkout. Staff by Customer Service, however are excellent. Owners, do the right thing and close the store for 6 months and refurb the whole store and hire more enthusiastic employees.
Went in to get a roast that was on sale. Spent 10 minutes waiting for someone to help. Then was told the butcher is on lunch and I have to wait another 15-20 minutes. Manager was no help. Do better
Was going to pay at self checkout. The label was ripped on the milk. Tell the person at self checkout. Person says, im not leaving my spot. No further help or assistance. I say thank you for your help..she says no problem. I did not get the milk. Thank you Shop Rite at 730am
