Hate to give bad reviews but I put 2 stars because this needs attention. I shop here very often and every single time I am at the deli counter there is literally at least 3 or 4 people back there clearly visible and clearly available to help but for some reason only one person maybe 2 if you're lucky is serving people and slowly at that. They all try to act like they are doing something more important but number one rule in retail is customer service. You are expected to stop whatever you're doing to help someone who is waiting. I go to many food stores across NY and NJ for work and this is one of the only places that is like this. And there is no reason for it to take 5 minutes per requested item. 15 minutes to get a few cold cuts and thats not including the waiting time to even be acknowledged. Someone needs to do something about this because it is ridiculous and doesn't occur anywhere else. Currently still standing here waiting and that's what has prompted me to finally write a review, I'm sick of it. Wrote this whole review while waiting for A HALF POUND OF TURKEY!!
Your typical ShopRite ( which is a "good" thing). The people here are very friendly and helpful. Food quality is pretty good. Produce somehow seems a little smaller than other locations, but I think that's a matter of square footage. As always, keep your price Plus Card handy in order to take advantage of sales
I don't have a complaint about the store, it's convenient. I do have a complaint about a specific cashier complaining that the store is busy because of a snow event in front of customers. That's what people do! If it wasn't for customers she wouldn't have a job. So, maybe those complaints should be kept for the break-room, I don't appreciate hearing that when I just spent a ton of $ for miscellaneous stuff.
I recently took a trip to Northern NJ & knew I absolutely had to stop at ShopRite. The employees were all very helpful & kind, plus the variety of foods were impressive! It brought back great childhood memories.
Literally got in before closing to make a quick purchase. staff heckling, following and aggressively telling customers to leave. One guy was downright shouting at me. If I get into the store right before closing, leave me in peace to do a quick shop. I was literally there for less than 10 minutes.
