I have been shopping at this ShopRite regularly since it first opened a few years ago. Recently, I noticed that the store only carries one brand of microgreens, with no alternative options. As a frequent customer who lives nearby and values having variety—especially in fresh produce—I brought this up to Frank, the store manager at the time, since the produce manager was unavailable. Unfortunately, my concern was quickly brushed off. As someone who works in business, I strongly believe that listening to customers, understanding their preferences, and maintaining open communication are essential to adding value and building long-term loyalty. This interaction made me feel that customer input was not taken seriously and that there was little interest. Because of this experience, I am reconsidering shopping at this location for the time being. Respecting and listening to consumers is fundamental, and I hope this feedback encourages more attention to what customers genuinely want.
No Bell & Evans chicken beasts, so I was going for the Perdue. I saw a cheaper price peeking out from under the ShopRite label....43% cheaper. What is this about? I was given the stock response, "Thank you for letting us know."
Very disappointed with my experience today. I was totally profiled. I have experienced racism in this town before but never thought I would experience it from an employee in a business establishment. Or at least profiled. I was on my lunch break( I work in Wyckoff). Went to self check out because register lines were long. I was paying for two things separately since I needed change from the one transaction because some of the items weren't for me. It was 3 items, one being from the a salad bar. The lady at self checkout(brown hair with these glitter strings) comes over asking do you need help with scanning the salad bar item?. I responded no I'm ok I'm paying for this first then this. Shes like yea but you won't be able to put that down until the other items are off the bagging area. I responded thats fine, as she proceeds said to say again I can help you. But she wanted to hold my salad bar item, she wasnt reaching for the other two items. I once again responded no I'm good, I got it. She kept insisting. Until I slightly rolled my eyes. Then I see her from the corner of my eye looking at me to make sure I scan my salad bar item lol, like are you kidding me? This screams "I think you are going to steal" without actually saying it! Her persistence was unnecessary. As I look around no one else is being watched. If she was truly trying to help she wouldn't have awkwardly insistantly gone back and forth and then topping it off with staring at me until she was called over for help by another customer. It clearly shows she thought I had other intentions. Because when someone says no.....please walk away, its not like i wasn't capable of holding two items in my hand. Honestly it was pretty embaressing to me. Its a shame because this Shoprite has better gran and go food options than Stop and shop in the area. And me and my coworkers come here often. Now I have to truly rethink being a frequent customer and rest assure I'll be letting my coworkers about this incident. Word spreads fast. Do better.
HUGE store! Beautiful and clean (but it's new still). Isles are super wide and everything was exceptionally stocked for how busy it was. The parking situation was a sh*tshow, but that's shop rite. Beautiful store and friendly staff! Will be returning!
This supermarket brings everything you can think about 'a grand opening'. Whole Foods looking interior, vast parking lot, full of ready-to-eat options, and of course, great quality groceries. One thing I must say is your shopping habit. If you don't mind shopping in the crowd, go for it. However, for those who like to shop when the isle is not packed by shopping carts...please wait another week or 2 until the foot traffic gets calm.
