I'm not a huge fan of our local Walmart. We go for necessities. I did score some great clearance deals on a recent visit. You really have to look at those mark down tags though! More often than not, the mark down is only two dollars...kind of misleading. The store, is as you would expect. This particular visit was early in the day, so not terribly busy. We generally seem to find decent parking, regardless of when we visit. My only complaint is always the same...why so many registers if only one or two is only ever open?!
In store shoppers are rude and cashiers never greet you or thank you and refuse to bag groceries. They are absolutely lazy. Half the time products are out of stock.
5 stars for the store. 0 stars for the spark drivers that consistently steal your stuff. Never ever do a home delivery w/o checking before they leave your door step. We only received 20 things of the 110 item order and that was 100 dollars of stuff out of 440 dollars of stuff. Atleast spark management is giving the refund eventually.
I called a few minutes prior to coming in to ask if they had any cold rotisserie chickens left, the answer I received was “yes, we always have cold rotisserie chickens out”. I then drove 20 minutes for an employee to tell me they were all out. I called for a reason, absolutely ridiculous.
Ah, Walmart Gloversville — a temple of cheap plastic and disposable dreams. The shelves are stacked with products so flimsy you half expect them to disintegrate on the way to the register. Their cookware bends if you look at it too hard. Their electronics have the lifespan of a fruit fly with asthma. Light bulbs fizzle out faster than a local politician’s promise, and the “durable goods” feel like they were engineered to collapse at the sound of laughter. The clothing racks are a sad parade of limp fabric stitched together by what must’ve been a factory’s night shift dare. Batteries that arrive expired, toys that fall apart before the box hits the cart, and gadgets that break faster than you can mutter “rollback.” It’s less a shopping trip and more a field study in planned obsolescence. But then—like a lone symphony playing in a junkyard—you reach the bakery. Suddenly, craftsmanship appears. Real skill. Their bakers produce bread with structure, pastries with heart, and cakes that genuinely taste like someone cared. The bakery is the only corner of that store where quality still lives, kneaded by actual hands that know their craft. In short: the products are garbage, but the bakery is art! I’d give 5 stars to the bakery. ZERO for the rest. So I settled for 3 stars!
