Stop & Shop

I’m Hispanic, I look black. Rough way to start a review, I know.. but literally there was ONE person whom was nice and wasn’t completely rude to me. The cashier was a young boy and he THREW the receipt at me … with not one word the whole interaction besides do you have a store card. The lady writing happy birthday wrote it in pink when I asked for orange and then when I reminded her, she yelled at me “WELL PINK WILL HAVE TO DO” I never write reviews and never one like this. This is probably the craziest experience I’ve ever had.

Ever since I moved to hopewell 5 years ago this stop and shop has been good to me. What prompted me to finally leave a review happened tonight Sunday 9/28. I was looking at the yogurt and it seemed like what I wanted was out of stock. I didn't even have to ask. Joel was stocking the shelves, and saw me looking. He offered to check the back and grabbed it for me. What a nice young man.

Everyone at this store in the evening is awesome. They always help me out especially when they know I’m on my bike. They have even left the doors open an extra 5 minutes since they know I’m local and needed something in a sort of emergency situation in the pouring rain might I add; (Thanks again for that). I’m a consistent shopper since I’m less than a mile away and the regular evening staff (never really dealt with the morning crew), at least the upfront staff, cashiers and customer service reps, who I deal with are really great. Small town vibes in a corporate store, pretty rare if you ask me. One of the managers on the other hand.

Store is fine, some prices higher, some lower. Your employees need to keep quiet about their political opinions!!! I nor my children need to hear a purple haired person saying horrible things about the President. No matter who the president is!!!

Products are fine prices are high for the same stuff sold on other grocery store shelves theres cost more
