This Stop & Shop location is hands-down the best one in Poughkeepsie, and every visit reminds me why it stands out above the rest. From the moment you walk in, you can see the difference: the store is bright, clean, well-organized, and fully stocked in a way that makes shopping smooth and stress-free. The aisles are wide, the displays are neat, and everything is easy to find — whether you’re running in for a quick item or doing a full grocery haul. The produce section is always fresh and beautifully arranged, and the quality here is consistently better than many other stores in the area. The meat and seafood departments also deserve credit for offering great choices at fair prices. Even the bakery looks amazing every time, with fresh items out and ready to go. But what really puts this location over the top is the staff. Every employee I’ve interacted with has been friendly, helpful, and genuinely willing to assist. You can tell they care about customer service and take pride in keeping the store running smoothly. The cashiers are quick, the self-checkout area is monitored well, and the managers keep everything operating like a well-run team. Shopping here is simply easier and more enjoyable than any other grocery store around. This Stop & Shop sets the standard for Poughkeepsie, and it deserves every bit of this 5-star rating.

There’s no lettuce or red onion on my sandwich. It’s straight meat and cheese, dude. Honestly, this might be the worst purchase I ever made (which is saying a lot because I have made some very regrettable purchases in the past). Just sad :/

Convenient location. But so overpriced. Annoying robot follows you all over store almost every time. Very uncomfortable. I gave it 3 stars only because of the convenience, cleanliness and occasional sale.

I have always liked Stop&Shop. They always have a large variety of items. And they have decent prices and sales. Now with the Go rewards program you can save even more money, I highly reccomend that program. It's easy and saves some money. The employee's are also friendly and Stop&Shop stores are usually very clean.

Expensive grocery store. Parking lot smells like pot and they always have only 1 or 2 registered open so you are forced into using the self checkouts. Go to ShopRite or Walmart for groceries to save you the trouble. Save that hard earned money 💵 💰.
