ShopRite of Vailsgate

Lesson learned! Figured I give the "order online and pick up" option a try, being I work overnights and wanted to experience the convenience of just having to pick up groceries. Well guess I won't be doing that again! Majority of the produce I ordered either had mold spots or were literally squashed opened. Save yourselves the disappointment and just shop yourselves especially if its perishable items etc...

I placed an order on the ShopRite app for pickup. I took my time to find deals and coupons. Order was estimated at $77. Great. I forgot to add waters and thought I could just add it online since my pickup wasn’t for 5 hours. But I didn’t see an option so I had to call. (Which is also inconvenient.) They added them and on my end I saw my order total was $92. When I went to pickup up that night I was charged $109. How did it jump up $17?? I didn’t get weighed items and tax/bags were $2. I went and talked to the “to go” desk and they didn’t know why. They brought me to customer service and they couldn’t figure it out either. The manager went through my whole receipt. I’m showing him the price on the ShopRite app and the price I was charged and asked for a refund. How is it ok to be shown prices you will be charged online, and then in the store a totally different number? I understand bag fees and tax and fluctuations for weighed items, but $17 is ridiculous. The fact no one could figure it out or refund the difference was insane. I’m showing proof of prices I was given on your company’s app! I left with no answers or refund or credit. They just took my number. I called customer service and they did the same thing. Said the best they can do is offer a $10 store credit because the store would need to refund me! But they need to get approval and get back to me. This is a joke. I will never order online again. Fix your online prices to match what you pay in store ShopRite. What a rip off and waste of time.

Great store, dumbest "smart" shopping cart. Takes awhile to scan each item since the software is buggy. And when we checked out, (the whole reason you put up with this stuff), we had to wait for two staff to verify our items in the cart. We needed an extra person because we scanned one of our chicken breast wrong. It would been easier just to deal with señf checkout. We still have bag our items anyway. Please get rid of it or add more regular shopping cart.

Absolutely love the crap out of this place. You can really tell they care about their community. Those meals that they sell “buy x meat and get 4 things for free” is genius. Helps people struggling to getby , get fed! Gotta say the only thing that needs help is the deli counter. They take farrrrrrr too long for orders. I’ll put an order in 25 mins early and 50% of the time it won’t be ready until after 30 mins. That can always be fixed. Still great place. Keep up the great work

This might be the slowest deli counter in the history of deli counters. The customer before me asked for sliced thin cheese but was disappointed to find that it wasn’t what she had ordered. Despite her attempt to get the counter person’s attention, she was ignored. When she left, she spoke to my deli person and said, “I heard her, but I wasn’t about to start over.” Well done, Shoprite. Way more talking to each other than working.
