We represent the elderly in our office and one of our clients that mentioned that they were tricked by Stop & Shop with fake “on sale” signs that were targeting the elderly and we had to see it for ourselves. The store is filled with them. They make it look like items are on sale, but they are just regular price. It’s such a shame how they target seniors. Shame on Stop & Shop. This is not the way to take money from the elderly.
We recently visited this store & were delighted to see cleanliness & well stocked items. A bit on the pricey side compared to other stores we've visited but did manage to find everything we needed. A big plus was the woman who came to me quickly after seeing we were in another checkout waiting. They are very helpful & this location fully accessible to individuals with disabilities.
The store itself was well stocked and easy to shop. However, I was uncomfortable with part of the checkout interaction. After I mentioned that I was visiting from Canada, the cashier emphasized the total in “American dollars,” which came across as unnecessary and a bit dismissive. It left me feeling awkward when it didn’t need to.
This place is clean, the staff is super helpful and the bakery section is amazing. I just brought my son cupcakes & cake from there and the bakery section manager was so helpful. Highly recommend !
Nice stop and shop location in white plains. Big clean store with an in store Dunkin donuts location. Well stocked shelves and decent prices.
