Gaffaney's Floral

I wanted to say that I haven't received this level of customer service in a long time. My mother's birthday was yesterday and she is housebound due to health issues and Covid. My original order with another company was cancelled with no explanation. I call googled for florists in Dickinson and came across this gem. The gentleman I dealt with took empathy while explaining my situation and told me he could get something to her in 5 minutes. The price was great and he even sent me pictures of the item and when he delivered to my mother. Thank for making her day and going above and beyond for me.

We came in ready to spend and did - dropping hundreds of dollars. Extremely disappointed. We were completely ignored when we walked in—no greeting, no acknowledgment. When we finally asked for help, the attitude we got was rude and dismissive, as if we were a bother. We came in ready to support a local business, but left feeling disrespected.

The customer service on the phone order was excellent and that is why I gave 2 stars but the 2-flower bouquet I specially ordered did not meet my expectations. I ordered Red Roses and sunflower bouquet to find out they add white flowers as a filler and the 2nd bouquet I could have bought from the grocery store and put into a vase myself. I know 200.00 for both arrangements may or may not seem like must today but I really had higher expectations then what I saw. REALLY DISAPPOINTED.

Gaffaney's is under newer ownership, I think? In any case, I hadn't ordered from them in years, but on a whim decided to stop in and order flowers for a friend's birthday last week. Though I had not called in an order, the staff was delighted to help me out and assembled a gorgeous arrangement--so nice, in fact, I bought a second arrangement so I could surprise my wife (I hadn't bought her flowers in a while because I'm thoughtless and/or a cheapskate I suppose). Our cat approved (side note: never let your pets sample flowers as most are poisonous!) as he sniffed pretty much each blossom before allowing me to set them back out of reach on the table. The reaction from both recipients for their respective arrangements was so joyous, I had to come back the next week (today actually) and buy another one for my little sister's birthday. I had a wonderful conversation with one of the shop owners and they were just such nice people to chat with. They even laughed at my dumb quips and rambling commentary, which of course earned them even more stars (can we do ten out of five stars?) in this review. I'm going to make a habit of buying from them as my primary florist and backup laugh track, going forward! The good people at Gaffaney's may think they're in the business of crafting floral arrangements, but really they deliver smiles.
