The grab and go delivery lady was incredibly rude and called me a woman when she knew I was a man. She then proceeded to chide me about how they won't be delivering instacart orders to cars anymore like I'm supposed to know that. The instacart site says otherwise. I realize working retail can be exhausting but the level of rudeness was just off the charts, I was following the rules that were given to me and I was very polite. She was an older woman, she shouldn't be working with customers.
The remodel is nice since becoming Safeway. Things feel fresh and new. There are a few things however that I wish they would change/add. The front door ramp/area isn't very cart friendly and people like to walk up it while carts are trying to go down. It's pretty awkward. Other Safeway's around the country have more offerings in their deli's. It would be nice to see some new food additions for take-out. I'm not a fan of having to clip coupons in apps. How about you do away with that and just offer decent prices on many items. My go-to grocery stores tend to be ones without having to remember to clip anything. There are several stores across the U.S. that don't require an app. Be like them.😊
Klamath Falls, large tidy store. Excited to order jars of Oregon Growers marionberry jam for gifts for pick up but got a notice that they were out of stock! Other items showed out of stock when looking online to order but not the jam so I was very unhappy when informed of this. Fortunately, the smaller Safeway in Ashland had a few jars.. Happy find!
I was out of town and needed an emergency antibiotic. My prescription was with Kaiser, and they were supposed to transfer it to this Safeway. Kaiser said they sent it, and of course they hadn’t. Enter Pam, absolute hero of the day. She went out of her way to make sure I got the medication I needed and literally fought for me on the phone until it was handled. The pharmacist, David, was also incredible — he took time out his busy schedule to talk to Kaiser twice himself to make sure everything got sent through. Tyler and the other pharmacy techs were so kind and helpful too. This whole ordeal took over four hours and only got resolved because of the dedication and persistence of this team. I had already tried Walmart pharmacy before coming here, and they couldn’t get it done — Safeway did. Pam truly saved the day. Five stars isn’t enough for how hard she worked to help a total stranger in a stressful situation.
Needed something for dinner, and I was able to get in and out quickly. It's been a while since I've been to a Safeway. I stopped going because of the digital coupons that you couldn't just get right away. However, the prices were all reasonable, even for items that weren't on coupon, and the ones that didn't need a digital coupon were also reasonably priced. Everyone enjoyed the items we got for dinner, including some extra sides.
