We ordered our DIY wedding flowers from Portland Wholesale Florist. This local company was fantastic and I would highly recommend them. Their prices are very reasonable (they gave me a deal on some bulk items from a distributor that was not on their website). They were efficient, provided great customer service, and the flowers were absolutely amazing. They also provided some advice on ordering and transporting the flowers that really helped. The bridal bouquet we made was much better than the ones I saw online!
I ordered a bunch of flowers (mondial roses, lavender, wax flowers, freesias) from Portland Wholesale Florist, and picked them up at the Broadway location. I selected the flowers myself, for my wedding, but I was on the phone with the expert for about an hour to get all the information I needed on my flowers. He promised me the flowers would look great on my wedding day, if I followed his instructions - And he was right! The bouquets turned out wonderful, with all flowers in full bloom. We made them ourselves, and the florist handed us all the info on DIY bouquets including the materials we needed. It was easy, fun, stress-free and with a wonderful result! I ordered 1000 (!) stems of flowers from PWF for our wedding. I was so nervous about the whole process and the order was over $1300 - long story short, everything was perfect and the flowers were more beautiful than I could have dreamed. Was it a ton of work? Yes. Did they make it as easy as possible? Yes. We had a local wedding in SW Portland. I ordered the flowers six weeks before the event and talked on the phone a few times with Doug. I picked them up Thursday morning from PWF, arranged everything on Saturday morning, and the wedding was Sunday. There are a lot of instructions to follow and work to do to process the flowers if you want to go the DIY route, but the portion of the process that involved PWF was seamless; we were well prepared and they turned out exactly like we thought. I will definitely order from them again for other events. (note: peonies in images are from a local farm, not PWF, and are at our venue, not the florist shop)
We purchased flowers from PWF for our wedding rehearsal and welcome party! We made it a wedding event for women in the family and bridal party to arrange them together. It was so fun and they had so many options! I only wish I could have picked up the peonies a day or two sooner, because they didn't quite open by our event. We also had a couple of questions related to the flower food when we got home since it wasn't labeled with how much to use and when we called them there was no option to talk to someone besides a sales voicemail which was a little frustrating. Despite this, we would definitely still use them again!
