Dupree's Root 88 Garden Center & Florist

My first time ordering from Dupree's and I feel they really went all out. My wife was so surprised with the delivery and loved the arrangement. At this point I can say I'll be a repeat customer.

I ordered a bouquet of flowers to give my wife for our baby shower. I went to pick them up up today and they were very friendly and put together a beautiful bouquet and the quality was more than I would have expected for the price. I would highly recommend.

Disappointed and Disrespected – Will Not Return I recently stopped into Dupree's Root 88 Garden and Florist to purchase perennials and mulch for my yard. At first, I was excited by the beautiful selection of flowers and grabbed a cart to load up some vibrant additions for my garden. While walking around, I noticed a man—who I believe is the owner—seemingly observing and commenting on everything I picked up to the young lady at the counter, which made me feel a bit uncomfortable. After selecting my plants, I asked him about purchasing mulch. He told me to back up my truck, and he’d load it for me, which he did after I paid for everything. That part of the experience was smooth. However, the very next day, I returned with my husband, who has Parkinson’s Disease and has recently undergone two brain surgeries, and we went there to purchase more mulch. The same man was sitting in the same spot. This time, instead of offering help, he told us to go load it ourselves and let him know how much we took. My husband is not physically able to load mulch, so I started doing it myself. After a few minutes, two teenagers were sent out to help, but by then the experience had already soured. The contrast in treatment from one day to the next was stark and incredibly disappointing—especially considering my husband's visible health issues. The owner’s dismissive and rude attitude left a very negative impression. Unfortunately, I will not be returning and cannot recommend this business based on how we were treated. – Tina Westhoff-Cali

Ordered a memorial latern for a funeral. It was beautiful, reasonably priced and delivered promptly. Very pleased with Dupree's and will definitely use them again.

They seem to have a wonderful selection of plants trees and shrubs - and house plants and succulents! - and fair prices. End of season sales and plenty of fall decorations and items like corn and straw in September. The pumpkins are very fairly priced. The floral design section is very creative and attractively put together. They may not have as many staff on hand or available at certain times, as self-loading seems to be the norm for outdoor bagged items like soil (probably help is available on request). I was able to pull close to the pile and self-load.
