Just recently stayed at Britton Homestead to celebrate my sister-in-law's 50th birthday. There were 6 girls in our party, and we had the top 2 floors reserved. The rooms were large and comfortable, and beautifully decorated. We definitely enjoyed the huge top floor suite as we pampered our sister on her special weekend! We went out to dinner and came back to a roaring bon fire where we sat around drinking wine and enjoying the outdoors! We woke up to a breakfast of muffins and coffee, which was a nice surprise! There are many sitting areas and a small kitchen on the bottom floor for guests to use. The property is everything I expected a farmhouse setting to be (animals included!)! I can't say enough wonderful things about this beautiful home and the welcoming hospitality we received our entire stay. The owner's were very friendly and accommodating and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. We will definitely book again! Thank you!
Britton Farmstead was so cozy and comfortable. The host and hostess were very gracious during our entire stay, and went out of their way to make it extra special for our group. It was very clean, and the rooms had everything we needed for a great stay. The farm was a peaceful retreat, and even though we were up late celebrating my birthday, we made sure to respect their privacy as much as they did ours. It was a great place, and I would recommend it to anyone staying in the area.
A quaint little country retreat nestled in the farm country outside Gettysburg. We enjoyed our stay here and the first thing that caught us was the tranquility and calmness the farmstead provides. The room we had was decorated beautifully in a country style with its own bathroom and shower. The owner greeted us immediately upon our arrival and showed us to our room and gave us a quick tour of the property. This is a great place for couples just looking to get away to spend some time together. It’s also in a great location with easy access to wineries and Restaurants. A really great getaway and we will be back.
This is a spectacular property! I can’t say enough about this lovely farm. We stayed in three separate rooms with our family of 5 (3 adults and two teens). Each room was carefully curated with lovely decor and amenities. The owners provided us with great recommendations for sight seeing and exploring the area. Lastly, the farm experience was priceless. We all enjoyed time with the dogs, cats and chickens. We will definitely be back!
Gettysburg Farmstead was an incredible experience. The location was perfect (close to Gettysburg), the atmosphere was Heavenly, the accommodations were light and bright, perfect for two. The best thing about it was the welcoming committee; Daisy, the barn cats (3), who were extremely friendly, and Argos the Great Pyrenees. He guarded all night. Rarely have I slept so good or so securely away from home. Broke my heart to leave all the sweet beasties.
