Visited this store, had a terrible experience with a very rude cashier. We had a full cart and started unloading, cashier threw the "12 items or less light" on and told us that we were in the wrong lane, but there were NO lanes allowing more than 12 items now. After apologizing thinking we made a mistake, the cashier said she would still help but but to apologize to the people behind us. I looked all around soon thereafter, two lanes were open, both 12 items or less and the self checkout. I asked why there wasn't a lane for larger carts and was told "I don't know what to tell you". They were rude during the entire exchange. My wife noted she notice the cashier throw the light on after the noticed our larger cart. Don't shop here, not worth dealing with the rude employees.
Asked a question in Produce about a PLU, and grapes and I got yelled at by the produce manager while shopping for DoorDash for a customer. Asked a clerk where the cut cantelope is, she said up front, it wasn't there, she was screaming endcap but I got yelled at. If she said it was on the endcap to begin with, right away I would have known. Happened Friday morning Feb 20th.
This Stop and Shop is one of the worst ones in the area, we frequently buy food from them that goes bad within a day of bringing it home, inside of the expiration date. They also frequently leave expired food on the shelves so you have to spend a lot of time sorting through food before picking something out. We’ve easily thrown away hundreds of dollars within the last few months because food is rotten or moldy within the expiration date. I won’t shop here anymore.
Very clean and never too busy. Wish there was a bigger selection of seafood but overall very satisfied
I have been coming here for over 10 years. This store has slowly declined to a ghost town. There is 1 cashier (no bagger) on the entire row of registers. She was friendly and quick and I give her 5 stars but other employees wander around aimlessly and there is not enough staff to ask questions or get a decent customer service experience. I will be going to Market Basket even though this store is closer and I would love to support. But I cannot. Very frustrating.
