So sad to say they got it all wrong. Initial contact was delightful and Phyllis seemed so professional and ready to meet our needs for a floral arrangement for my mother's 90th birthday. We ordered an arrangement with roses and spent an extra $10 for an upgrade. When the flowers arrived they were in orange, peaches and yellow. I had a picture of pink and white roses in my mind so was pretty shocked at the color and small size. In speaking with Phyllis she told me that for older birthday parties they usually " just usually assume we want color"and then was unwilling to make amends or credit me even a small portion. I would think that a florist as old and renown as Bevil's would have and should have asked me what colors I would like to use rather than assuming a color theme chosen by them.
Our Moses family has been a customer of Bevil's florist for 4 generations. Being in our own family business for 2 generations I have found that the person answering the phone usually gives you that first impression of how a company treats their customers. When I call Bevil's florist I have always had a very pleasant person answering their company telephone. I tell them what I think I need and they have great suggestions for my flower arrangement. They takes the time to make sure my order is right and have suggestions for what I could write on the card. When other friends ask me to suggest a florist, I will tell them to call Bevil's Florist.
