LOVE working with velvet mesquite, professionally and personally. Whether you are traditional, boho, modern, etc, they can make your floral dreams come true! I work closely with Elizabeth and her team and they always go above and beyond. My rental business, Bivardi Designs, works closely with this crew for any and all events and I also used her for my personal wedding which was the best decision ever!
Elizabeth (and team) did a fabulous job at our Cibolo Creek Ranch Wedding outside of Marfa! Communication was prompt throughout the very short (2 month) engagement/planning process. Elizabeth didn’t mind changes whether they be adding more or scaling back on very large installations! I had very detailed visions for each day and they were carried out flawlessly! We could not have been more pleased with Velvet Mesquite Designs!
Deciding to hire Elizabeth as our planner/coordinator/florist was easily the best decision we made during our wedding planning process! We found Elizabeth by word of mouth from a friend, and boy we were so lucky she was available for our wedding date! I was about 6 months out from my wedding date and realized I was in over my head and had no idea what went into planning a wedding. From our first visit she made an effort to get to know you, your vision, and how she could make that vision a reality. Throughout the planning process, she checked in with me to see how I was doing emotionally and in school. I truly enjoyed meeting in person, whether at a coffee shop or her home, she always put my worries to ease and let me be a little obsessive and ask as many questions as and go through as many scenarios as I needed. She was always available for calls/texts, even at late hours of the night. As a planner, she did an amazing job being the liaison between me and our vendors. When problems arose with other vendors, Elizabeth checked with me for every decision before acting, something that I appreciated. Any complication that arose, she had a plan and a solution so that it was less stressful for me. And as our florist and decorator, the arrangements, bouquets, and decorations were spectacular. Better than I could have imagined. Our wedding day was a dream, and we could not have asked for a better person to make it come true! "She's the best ever!" A quote from my husband when asked what he thinks about Elizabeth.
Great florist! I ordered an arrangement, and got a notification only an hour later that it was ready for pickup! It had the colors I requested and the vase even fit in our truck cup holder (I never knew I needed car flowers but now I guess I do!) These flowers are an investment, but you get what you pay for. This isn’t HEB florals, it has high quality flowers with professional arrangements.
Julia and Kaylee are awesome! I love my fresh flowers and the vase is show-stopping. Their selection of home goods and candles is also great. Perfect place to find a gift for a loved one. Will be back. Oh, they delivered the arrangement too!
