Casa Mariposa Event Venue & Villas

This is an elegant and beautiful venue we used for our daughter's wedding. We could not have been more delighted with her choice of this amazing location. Sherrie the owner and Cassie her assistant made the planning and the celebration beyond compare. All services(food, music, lighting, flowers etc.) provided were first class. If you are looking for a venue with sophistication this is it. We also decided to rent the villas next to the venue for the wedding weekend which made everything even better. Thank you Sherrie and Cassie for making our daughter and son-in-law wedding unforgettable.

We had the distinct pleasure of staying at The Casa Marisposa Event Venue in the Honeymoon Suite. It is a Mexican tropical themed suite that was nothing short of magical. Situated on the second floor of the beautiful Casa Mariposa, you enter from an expansive patio level with the tops of palm trees allowing you to be mesmerized by the soft rustle of leaves in the wind. From the moment we stepped in, we were enveloped in the world of earthy textures, colorful artisan tiles and hand carved wooden accents. The suite features a seating area with a couch and two comfortable chairs, a beautiful bed, a full bathroom with a shower and soaking tub, large television, refrigerator and microwave. Sherrie was the most gracious hostess and every detail felt personal and welcoming. It was more than a stay, it was a memory that will linger in our hearts forever!

Casa Mariposa was truly built on love, and you can feel it the moment you arrive. Knowing that it was created by Sherrie and her late husband makes it even more special. Having the chance to celebrate my husband’s and my love in a place like Casa Mariposa was nothing short of magical. Everything I could have ever dreamed of, Sherrie and her incredible team made it happen and more. Even though I’m not local, planning a destination wedding here was effortless because Sherrie completely understood my vision and brought it to life 10x better than I imagined. Sherrie, Casey, and the entire Casa Mariposa team will forever hold a special place in our hearts. My husband and I will always find our way back, just to see them again. Thank you, Casa Mariposa, for making the most important day of our lives the most memorable one. Hands down best destination location for a wedding! Or any event you may have in mind. Everything went extremely well and smoothly with planning and execution. Ms. Sherrie (Owner) will listen to everything you say and is all about understanding exactly what you want. My wife and I travel to South Padre Island every single year and had to have our wedding here. We loved how everything is taken care of and is a VERY stress free zone. She will take care of everything for you. Bring the Cake and the Booze, that’s it, with a few extras items. The food was the best part of the wedding and the DJ was great. I highly recommend the Mexican Food instead of your normal chicken and broccoli on a plate. The night was magical and I promise the day will always be about you. Ms. Sherrie is definitely apart of the family for life. Highly recommend to have your next event here. At Casa Mariposa, thank you.

My husband and I got married at Casa Mariposa in October and we could not have dreamed of a more perfect place to get married! We had the most beautiful wedding, and it was all thanks to Sherrie and Casey. From the very beginning, they were everything we needed and more—professional, responsive, warm, and incredibly organized. They handled planning + coordination with such calm confidence that it lifted so much stress off of us as a couple. I never once felt overwhelmed because they were always one step ahead! They also created all of our floral and décor, and truly blew us away. Every detail was thoughtful, intentional, and stunning. Walking into our ceremony and reception spaces felt like stepping into a dream! One of the biggest gifts was how seamlessly they managed communication with our catering and other vendors. They handled so much behind the scenes that my life became infinitely easier during the busiest months of planning. But what meant the most is how they treated us—like family. They genuinely cared about our day, our experience, and making sure everything was perfect. And it was. If you’re looking for a venue team that goes above and beyond in every way, look no further. Sherrie and Casey are truly exceptional, and we are endlessly grateful for them! If I could give more than five stars I absolutely would!
