Update: Shortly after this experience the owner reached out to me via phone and apologized for my experience. He gave me the opportunity to explain what happened and then offered to help me however he could. He ended up rounding up the flowers I needed and had them delivered in time for me to fulfill my customer orders. I really appreciate a business that values every customer and go above and beyond to correct a wrong. I will definitely be going back. I've used Red Mountain bc they are the closest wholesaler to me, but I might have to sacrifice convenience and find a new one because they left me high and dry on my most recent order. I ordered flowers for some graduation projects this week and I placed the order last week. I was told it would be here for me, which I rely on when taking orders. When I picked it up I realize they had messed up the order. They had a previous order I had already picked up prior to Mother's Day and only filled half of my actual order. Now I'm left scrambling trying to find what I need so I can fulfill my orders and not disappoint seniors graduating this week after a year of so many disappointments already. Not to mention it's the week after mother's day and everyone is cleaned out. Luckily, I found a wholesaler in SL that personally called me and is willing to help find what I need. That's the type of business I expect and want to do business with, not one that just simply says, "sorry." It's frustrating bc it's my reputation on the line, especially as I'm just starting out and trying to establish myself in this industry. Looks like I'll be driving north from now on.

I have been using Red Mountain for years now, and their customer service is top notch, always willing to help even with my more difficult requests. I hardly ever have a problem with their products and if I do, they right it immediately. They are just a little bit more pricey then other places I buy from, but to be honest, the product and experience of shopping with them makes it completely worth it. I recommend to all my florist friends.

I’ve been a loyal customer since 2021. And unfortunately, I can no longer support this wholesaler. Over time, I’ve watched them handle genuine concerns from fellow florists—many of whom are close friends of mine—with unkindness and a lack of professionalism, especially when it came to admitting they’d been overcharging a client for years and refused to make amends. I’ve also experienced firsthand how their policies seem to change without any written notice. For example, I was suddenly charged a 50% restocking fee for a simple ordering error—despite the longstanding 25% policy and no mention of this change on my invoice when I placed my order. I was given rude attitude when I questioned it and tried to better understand what the problem was. Beyond that, I’ve found their prices to be significantly higher than other suppliers, with product quality that often doesn’t reflect the cost. The final straw for me was learning that a completely false and damaging rumor about me and my business has been spread by one of their own staff members over the last two years. Multiple people confirmed it came from a rep who fulfills orders. I brought it to management directly, expressing my disappointment and frustration, but it was brushed off and never taken seriously. I was expecting them to ask what they could do to make it right or to offer some kind of compensation or credit for the damage it’s done to me but no such effort was made. At the end of the day, I won’t support a business whose owner and management made it clear independent florists like myself aren’t important to their business. They can’t take accountability, admit a mistake, or make things right. Our industry deserves better.

I’ve been ordering from this wholesaler on and off for the past 17 years while running my floral business, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the relationship we’ve built. They have always been kind, respectful, and incredibly attentive to my needs as an independent florist. Many times, a salesperson has gone out of their way to text me pictures of specific flowers so I can be confident in what I’m ordering—something that means a lot in this business. On the rare occasion that something arrives wilted or an item gets mixed up, they are quick to make it right, even swapping out orders without hesitation. Their consistency, professionalism, and genuine care for their customers keep me coming back year after year. I truly appreciate all they do to support small florists like me!
