Went there to get bell peppers and milk and cheese. And meat. Their produce is wonderful. Everything in there is fresh. I've only encountered once when they had bad meat but other than that it's always fresh and me and my children love it. They also had deals on Halloween stuff and children's clothing and hair bows.
If you shop smart Smith's is cheaper than "W". I just wish there was more Bobby Approved food items. Cheese department is the BEST of area. I live for the deals, this keeps me out of other stores (budget family here).
The lady at the cheese counter is so friendly. Great variety in cheeses. Bakery has lots of pastry options as well as fresh bread. Plenty of parking. The produce looks great. Very clean store.
I usually get my groceries delivered from Walmart but I live next door to Smith’s so occasionally I’ll run over for something I forgot. Their produce goes bad so quickly and the prices aren’t worth it. I got strawberries here one time and the whole container was moldy in 2 days. Bought lettuce once and it was wilted and slimy by the end of the week. Never had that issue with Walmart. Would rate this place 2 stars, but give it a bonus just because I got my flu shot at the pharmacy here and the staff there was so nice and made the whole process quick and surprisingly enjoyable. Would definitely make this my go-to pharmacy but as a grocery store definitely not.
This review is for the deli. Pros: Deli staff was very friendly and helpful. Cons: I ordered and paid $40 for the fun novelty of a four foot sandwich. What they gave me was very obviously four one-foot sandwiches and put them in two two-foot boxes. If I had known ahead of time that that's what they do then I would have gone elsewhere to places that do have the actual long bread. So if you just need a lot of sandwich for a party or something, this will definitely fit the bill just fine. But if your goal is HUGE SANDWICH, this does not fit that goal. It's just four regular footlongs that they put next to each other. Which for me was very disappointing. They even told me that I needed to order at least 24 hours in advance for the special long bread to thaw out. Which they obviously did not use. If they were out of it, then communication about that ahead of time would have been really great. I will not get their sandwiches again. Neutral: As a heads-up, they only do a simple sandwich: meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato, with packets of mayo and mustard on the side. Which is fine, but just know that if you want other toppings you will need to plan ahead to buy your own jars to add at home.
