Safeway

Hands down, consistently the most disgusting bathroom I've ever used from a food establishment. What a horrible way to take my two young girls to go to the bathroom in the middle of a grocery shop. Manager(s), shame on you. Go in to the mens room and take 5 beep breaths and observe brow smears on the wall, leaking toilet and ask yourself if you as a single father of a 3 and 8 year old really want to have them do their business in those conditions, let alone a food establishment.

Very disappointing experience yesterday. I shop Safeway expecting great produce, customer service and efficiency. Sure the prices are higher at Safeway, but historically you get what you pay for. Until yesterday. I had placed a grocery order online- during the shopping the shopper notified me that the following items were “out of stock” and no replacement offered. These items were limes, Yukon potatoes, chicken nuggets, and a particular type of rice. I tried to call the store - I called 4 times I pressed the number associated with produce and with customer service to verify the store was in fact completely out of potatoes, limes and chicken nuggets . To my surprise nobody answered the phone any of the times I called - it reran through the menu each call a few times due to lack of answering. So I went to the store -and - none of the items were out. I used the online shopper because I was in a huge time crunch. I’d like to think this entire experience was a one off. Super disappointing experience.

Went in yesterday to buy one product. When I went to the checkout line, once it was my turn, the manager told the clerk to turn her light off and go in her break just as my one product hit the end of the conveyor belt. No one said anything to me or offered to take over. I hadn’t said a single word. I don’t know if these people did this because they knew me or my politics but I don’t know them, which absolutely terrified me actually, that people I didn’t even know would do that. So…. I’m never going back. I have no idea what kind of joke or activist skit that was but I have no patience for being treated like that ever. Never going back.

I love Safeway. I generally have my groceries delivered to the house because of my health. While I go physically shopping when I'm strong enough. I'm very happy with Safeway. Everyone there is very friendly and if I have any issues with a delivery I call them and they answer my questions and do anything that they can to help me with whatever problem I have called about. So I highly recommend Safeway. I think it's a great store and it's got a great staff.

Got these STRAWBERRIES at EWen Safeway a few days ago. They are absolutely fantastic. Ripe, sweet and ready to eat. Did not have to trash a single berry. And they were On Sale at a fantastic price.
