My favorite local plant store! The staff is more than friendly, and willing to answer any question you may have without making you feel like an idiot. Their orchid selection is obviously extensive, but they also have a growing variety of philodendron and anthuriums. Their prices are reasonable, and the color coding makes it easy to tell how much each plant costs. I highly recommend Emerald City Orchids for anyone looking to grow their plant collection!
We came down from Carnation to visit this place, and we'll definitely be back! The guy who assisted me was very helpful while picking out miniature orchids for a terrarium. They also had several beautiful terrariums similar to the one I'm setting up, so those were very helpful to look at. Edit: it's been a few months and my orchids are doing great, two of them have bloomed and all of them are growing! I was worried I didn't have the skill to take care of mini orchids, but the sales guy didn't fail me, he clearly set me up with sturdy ones
Knowledgeable staff, extremely kind staff, and tons of orchids and other aroids with resonable prices. Will come again and recommend going here if you are looking for orchids and other aroids. Also, they set their prices with colors which made it easy to find the prices.
Ordered my orchid plant for the first time ever. It was packaged carefully with lots of sintepon and arrived safely. They even sent me one with a flower spike (though that wasn't promised). Very pleased with my purchase! I would definitely recommend everyone to shop here!
So far the most amazing experience I’ve had at any orchid greenhouse/grower I’ve been to! Friendly and knowledgeable staff and a whole wealth of different species and hybrids. The front of the shop is a constantly changing space used for events, pop-ups and the like while the back is more focused on greenhouse growing and propagation. They also have a little room that I believe functions as the NW Orchid Society’s library and also has some terrariums with humidity -loving plants and miniature orchids. I HIGHLY recommend checking this place out even if you aren’t an orchid enthusiast or are interested in botany like myself. The staff can answer questions you have and you can even do some reading with the literature they have here. I will definitely be coming back next time I’m in the area.
